Cost of Living Adjustments for 2005

The IRS and the Social Security Administration have announced the cost-of-living adjustments for various limits for 2005. The limits affecting retirement plans are shown directly below and the limits for health and certain other fringe benefit plans are shown on the following page. The application of the new gross income limitation for certain dependents is discussed at the end of this Legal Alert.
